ARTIST STATEMENT:

CUT PAPER PORTRAITS is an ongoing series of hand-drawn pencil portraits that are intricately cut into a latticework of leaves and flowers. With this combination of drawing and paper cutting, these portraits are unique keepsakes where the face is nestled into a tangle of leaves and stems. It layers portraiture with the beauty of the natural world.
